After more than 60 years serving the Chicagoland area with precision and pride, Johnson Steel Rule Die Company isn’t slowing down. With demand climbing and operations expanding, President Bill Drew knew it was time to invest in automation that could keep pace with their customers and position the company for continued growth.
To close out 2025, Johnson installed two new Serviform machines—Skymilla and Linea—bringing cutting-edge speed, consistency, and reliability to the production floor. These additions are already helping the team reduce downtime, increase efficiency, and stay ahead of tight timelines.

The Skymilla delivers high-speed, precise milling for counter plates and dieboards, reducing manual processes while improving repeatability and accuracy. With advanced automation and dependable performance, it helps eliminate bottlenecks and keeps production flowing without sacrificing quality.
The LineA adds powerful rule processing and bending capabilities in one streamlined system. Designed for efficiency and precision, it handles complex bending, nicking, and broaching with consistency—helping the team move faster while maintaining tight tolerances and clean finishes.

“We’ve grown in every direction—new team members, expanded equipment, and a larger facility,” said Drew. “None of this would be possible without our outstanding team and loyal customers. 2025 was record-breaking, but 2026 is shaping up to be even bigger.”
